KB041020161025 - Message appears '"Server Unreachable&#34' when validating the connection to the DS Manager

When validating the connection from within the settings section of Creator and there is an error, it is important to check the following;

  • Server IP:   This should be the IP address/FQDN of the server
  • Port:  This should be pre-populated 21 - this is important for FTP to communicate, if the box is empty
  • Username/Password:  These are the server account details on where DS Manager is installed
  • Path: If the path of FTP is the root location, enter '\' in here.
  • Illumineye DS manager path:   This should be the IP address/FQDN of the server
